Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on House of Macros. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. Community Guidelines

    1. Forum Rules

        • Post with respect toward others. This site is aimed at a general audience, please be considerate of this.
        • Please do not link to any piracy or any other material that does not respect copyright. Account closures will be handed for this violation.
        • Report any posts you feel violate our policies by using the "post report" feature and the Operations Team will handle them as needed. Please do not reply or engage with these posts yourself.

    2. Macros / Addon Support

        • We provide support here for GSE macros sequences released by creators on this forum only. Limited support will be provided for packages downloaded from other sources.
        • Although we are happy to help if possible, problems with third party tools, UI, addons, screen resolution, and overall different hardware out there can make troubleshooting an issue difficult. Please keep in mind, these are volunteers and human beings helping each other out, they do NOT owe you anything.
        • We have no control over any forums beyond what is hosted at House of Macros. We write, maintain, and support the macros posted here but have no control over anybody's use of what is posted here or our software. For any questions about non-House of Macros domains, please contact the relevant site's administration team.
        • Community support is offered on these forums, and Discord. Please do not contact the Operations team or other community members for support unless asked to do so.

    3. Offsite Linking

        • Linking to your own site or another in a support context is acceptable, including linking to support sites for macro/addon authors. It is also fine to link to your own website in your user profile.
        • Promoting your own site without a support related context is not permitted. Users wishing to advertise on houseofmacros.com should message a site admin.
        • Linking to monetary/donation services is permitted but limited to one (1) link per post. This applies to the following services: Venmo, Paypal, Kofi, BuyMeACoffee, Patreon, etc.

    4. Avatar and Profiles

        • Avatars should be no larger than 120 x 120 pixels, cannot contain animation, and must be under 200 KiB.
        • You may list your personal website and social media links inside your User Profile.
        • Avatars should not contain nudity. Please remember there are children on this website.

    5. Moderating Policies

        • The House of Macros Operations team is responsible for the interpretation and enforcement of these rules. Warnings and bans or placement on the moderation queue will be utilised as necessary to run the site smoothly.
        • Attempts to evade bans or moderation queue will result in further action against your account. If you feel you have been treated unfairly by a team member, please contact the site admin.
